Acteon Newtron P5 XS B.LED
Acteon's compact piezoelectric ultrasonic scaler with a SLIM B.LED handpiece. It is a standalone console (no air polisher): generator, irrigation tank, foot pedal and handpiece cord, used with Acteon dental tips for prophylaxis, periodontics, endodontics, implant maintenance and restorative work.
EMS PIEZON NO PAIN
PIEZON NO PAIN is EMS's piezoelectric ultrasonic scaling system. EMS describes it as a trilogy: an electronic module (NO PAIN), the PIEZON handpiece and the PS instrument. The module adjusts output power to the resistance the instrument meets. On EMS's current product pages it appears inside two combined units, the AIRFLOW Prophylaxis Master and the GBT Machine. The standalone PIEZON Master 700 is no longer on EMS's current list.
Mectron multipiezo
Multi-function piezoelectric ultrasonic scaler for scaling, periodontal, endodontic and restorative work, with a glass touch panel, an LED handpiece and a removable 500 ml irrigation bottle.
NSK Varios 970 / 970 LUX
NSK's top model of its compact ultrasonic-scaler series: a tabletop control unit with an LED display, three operating modes (Perio, Endo, General), two 400 ml irrigation bottles with a tap-water option, an auto-cleaning function for the irrigation lines and a Varios2 piezo handpiece. The 970 LUX has an LED-lit handpiece; the plain 970 does not. It does not include an air polisher.
Woodpecker UDS-E LED
A compact standalone ultrasonic scaler from Guilin Woodpecker. The manufacturer's user guide describes an optical (LED) handpiece, scaling, perio and endo functions, an auto-water supply fed from a bottle, an inner water line designed to take disinfecting liquids, a detachable autoclavable handpiece and automatic frequency tracking. The control unit weighs 1.17 kg and runs from an external power supply.
