Summary
The Varios Combi Pro2 is NSK's combined tabletop system: a Varios piezoelectric scaler (28-32 kHz, up to 11 W) with titanium handpieces and a powder-based air polisher with a Prophy handpiece (a Perio handpiece comes in a separate kit), heated water, auto-cleaning and a wireless Bluetooth multi-function foot control. It succeeds the Varios Combi Pro.
Who it may suit
- Practices with limited bench space that want scaling and air polishing in one unit (3.5 kg; 249 × 290 × 215 mm including chambers).
- Practices already using NSK handpieces and couplings.
- Practices not tied to a single manufacturer's air polishing protocol.
It may be less suited to buyers who need published water and air pressures before choosing (NSK USA's page does not list them) or want a clearance with a long field history (K260773 is dated March 2026).

NSK states the Prophy Kit2 is part of the basic kit. Options: Prophy Kit2 (Y1500469: prophylaxis handpiece, hose 2, chamber 2, one 300 g bottle of FLASH pearl); Perio Kit2 (Y1500470: periodontal handpiece, hose 2, chamber 2, nozzle-tip removal tool, 40 Perio Mate nozzle tips, one 160 g bottle of Perio Mate powder); FLASH pearl bottles (Y900698, 4 × 300 g, average particle diameter 54 µm); Perio Mate Powder (Y900938, 2 × 160 g, average 25 µm); nozzle tips (Y1002741, 40 per pack).
Powders
FLASH pearl is a calcium carbonate powder. NSK USA does not state the chemistry of Perio Mate powder on its page: check NSK's instructions for use for approved perio powders and pocket-depth indications (confirm with supplier). Ask the supplier whether other brands' powders affect the warranty.
